Do you have a loved one in treatment at OHL?

Odyssey House understands the concern that you have for your family member or friend. However, please be mindful that there are many rules and regulations that the Agency must follow for the safety and privacy of all of its clients. Please read below for some of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

I KNOW MY FRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER IS AT ODYSSEY HOUSE. WHY CAN'T I SPEAK TO THEM OR CHECK ON THEM?
Due to federal confidentiality laws, OHL CANNOT confirm or deny whether a person is in treatment at any of its facilities without express consent from the client. Even if you are 100% certain your loved one is at Odyssey House, OHL is prohibited from confirming that this person is in treatment or releasing any information without written consent from that individual.

WHAT IS THE PHONE SCHEDULE FOR CLIENT CALLS?
Please understand that clients have limited phone access while in treatment and are typically allowed to make outgoing calls between the hours of 4-7 PM. Clients will not have personal cell phones while in treatment. If you miss a call from a friend or family member in treatment, you will not be able to call back at a later time and ask to speak to that person due to the above-mentioned federal confidentiality law. While we understand that this may be frustrating, the privacy and security of our clients is our number one priority.

HOW DO I BRING SUPPLIES TO MY LOVED ONE?

If the client has been in treatment for less than 7 days, you may drop off clothes and toiletry items CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE CLIENT'S NAME any day from 9 AM- 7 PM. Once the client has been here past 7 days, item drop off (clothes and toiletries) is designated to Sundays between 8AM- 6 PM. Cigarettes and necessary medications may be dropped off for all clients at any time. Please be sure to visit the individual program pages to view the Allowable/Non-Allowed items (found on the sidebar of each page).
