Residential Treatment- Briscoe/ Lake Charles
NEW PROGRAM OPENING JULY 1, 2019!
OHL is thrilled to announce that it will be expanding its services to southwestern Louisiana and will begin operating an inpatient resdiential treatment facility in Lake Charles! Beginning July 1, 2019, OHL will take over operations of a 46-bed treatment facility, regionally known as Briscoe, which has been operating in the Lake Charles area since the mid-70s, changing managment many times over the years.
OHL's Briscoe program will operate very comprably to OHL's Short- Term Adult Residential Program in New Orleans. Briscoe is a short-term (approximately 28-day) drug rehabilitation program, focusing on the most basic aspects of drug rehab treatment, such as abstinence from drug abuse, life skills building, and recovery tools.
- To be eligible, clients must have Medicaid, Medicare, or be uninsured. OHL is a Medicaid Application Center and can assist in Medicaid enrollment.
- Clients seeking treatment must have proof of Louisiana residency (i.e. a Louisiana ID). Some form of picture ID is required.
- Bring a 30-day supply of all prescribed medication for the 28-day stay.
