Odyssey House Louisiana (OHL) is a nonprofit behavioral health care provider with an emphasis on addiction treatment. OHL was established in 1973 as a nonprofit residential substance abuse treatment facility with the mission of empowering people to conquer addiction. Today, Odyssey House offers a professional, structured and caring Therapeutic Community with comprehensive services and effective support systems that enable individuals to chart new lives and return to their communities as contributing members.
A United Way Partner Agency
Second Helpings Catering is OHL's food service and catering business. Second Helpings Catering distinguishes itself from other catering services, not only in its delectable New Orleans- style cuisine, but also because the food and service is provided by students of OHL's Culinary Arts Program, trained by a professional chef in all aspects of food preparation and presentation, which is just one of the skill-building tracks Odyssey House has established for its residents.
One of the main priorities of Second Helpings Catering is to train individuals with marketable workforce skills that will enable them to secure employment and succeed in culinary arts careers when they return to the community.
Second Helpings Catering offers a classic menu of New Orleans favorites at affordable prices. We can custom a menu tailored specifically for your event and we are available for casual gatherings or large events.
