Elvis was in the Building!

August 30

On Sunday, August 15, everyone laced up their blue suede shoes and headed on over to John Paul's for an Elvis costume party and show, hosted by Queen Amon-Ra XLV. As you know, King and Queen Amon-Ra have been extremely active supporters of OHL and we could not appreciate them any more than we already do.

So, to celebrate the life of The King, we at OHL could think of nothing better than to celebrate with our friends from Amon-Ra, John Pauls, and with members of the Rolling Elvi. For those of you not familiar, the Rolling Elvi is a Mardi Gras Krewe which pays homage to Mr. Elvis Aaron Presley as they dress up as various versions of The King and ride on motorized scooters during Mardi Gras. OHL's very own CEO, Ed Carlson, is a Rollin Elvi and Ed invited a number of his Elvi friends to participate in an Elvis impersonation sing-off. All proceeds from the night benefitted OHL's Women and Children program.

The night was an absolute BLAST and great success! To the Krewe of Rolling Elvi, King and Queen Amon-Ra XLV, John Paul's, and everyone who came out to support OHL, we say in our best Elvis drawl: Thank you. Thank You Very Much!
