
Odyssey House Louisiana (OHL) is a nonprofit behavioral health care provider with an emphasis on addiction treatment. OHL was established in 1973 as a nonprofit residential substance abuse treatment facility with the mission of empowering people to conquer addiction. Today, Odyssey House offers a professional, structured and caring Therapeutic Community with comprehensive services and effective support systems that enable individuals to chart new lives and return to their communities as contributing members.

A United Way Partner Agency
Prior to being admitted or placed on the waiting list for admission, the following criteria must be established:
- A maximum of 3 children per client
- Boys up to the age of 9
- Girls up to the age of 12
Additionally, all children must provide the following documentation and be cleared by the Odyssey House Medical Department:
- Current immunization
- Current negative TB test results
- Current physical
- Current medication/medication order
- Birth certificate
- A note from their physician documenting that the pregnancy is going well, the EDC and the next follow up appointment.
- A normal ultrasound
- Prenatal vitamins
- Copy of food stamp application
- Current negative TB test results
- Current physical
- Current medication/medication order
- ID/Birth certificate (if possible)
- CD4 and CEV
- Record of Viral Load
- Treatment Orders
- All current lab work
- Follow up medical appointment
- All medical records within last 30 days
- All psychiatric records within last 90 days
